Top 10 Stadiums to Visit Before You Die

  1. Tiger Stadium
    A game at night on LSU’s campus might be the best experience in college football. It is known as “Death Valley”. They rarely lose a home game as it is one of the loudest stadiums in college football. It is rumored that during the 1988 season when LSU was playing Auburn that the fans got so loud when LSU scored the game winning touchdown that there was a register on a seismograph. Either way LSU is one of the toughest places to play in college football and is a great stadium to visit.
  1. Michigan Stadium
    This is the biggest stadium in college football. It is known as “The Big House”.  It may not be the loudest stadium but the fans excitement and enthusiasm make up for it. They have many traditions also. One thing they do before every home game is clap to “Hail to the Victors” and enjoy the marching band before every game. One good thing about Michigan Stadium is that there isn't a bad seat in it.
  1. Ohio Stadium
    The “Horseshoe” is one of the best venues to catch a college football game in the country. It is the fourth largest stadium in the country and isn't very quiet either. They really like getting their fans involved. O-H-I-O can be heard throughout the game with a cheerleader holding up the letter designated for that particular section. Another great thing about Ohio State is their marching band. They always come up with something unique and special. This is a great stadium to watch a game at.
  1. Memorial Stadium
    Here at Memorial Stadium you get to experience a football game with the dead people in the cemetery looking over the stadium as well. There is a university cemetery that sits over a hill looking out onto the field for every home game. They are hard to beat at home posting a 71% win percentage at home. They have one of the loudest stadiums as well, reaching 133 decibels in 2007. They also have traditions known as the Tiger Walk and touching Howards Rock. This is a great stadium to go to.
  1. Beaver Stadium
     The Atmosphere at Beaver Stadium is incredible. They have one of the largest stadiums and the fans are crazy. They have one of the best student sections known as the S-Zone. One of the coolest things to see is when Penn St. decides to have their whiteout game. 100,000 plus fans in white waving their towels in the air and jamming out to Zombie Nation whenever their Nittany Lions make a good play. A very unique experience.
  1. Neyland Stadium
    Before every game the fans come out and watch the Volunteer Navy Float go by with the players marching along as well. The location by the Tennessee River makes it one of the most beautiful stadiums ever. They will make you sing Rocky Top until your lungs burst. So what are you waiting for come watch the Volunteers.
  1. Bryant-Denny Stadium
    Tailgating is a big thing in Alabama as fans tailgate for every game and they set up miles away. They have a large stadium that is all about football. Before the game a lot of people like to visit Bear Bryant Museum which is a really cool experience as well. Alabama is also just good a football and that always helps for a good crowd. When you watch Alabama play you won't be disappointed as fans sell out almost every home game so get your tickets early.
  1. Sanford Stadium
    Come and watch a game between the hedges. The students here are also great with a student section of 10,000 plus. The students are loud and enjoy watching their Georgia Bulldogs. The stadium surrounds the field making it a very loud atmosphere to play in. Other teams don't like coming into Bulldog territory.
  1. Ben Hill Griffin Stadium
    This is home of the “Gator Chomp”. This isnt one of the biggest stadiums but the fans make up for it as many fans have said this is one of the most intimidating places to play. Fans at “The Swamp” can be deafening and are known to cause many false start penalties. This is a great stadium and who doesn't like the Gators.
  1. Kinnick Stadium

    One of the most underrated college football stadiums in the country but it is one of the many great stadiums in the country. It is not one of the largest stadiums in the country with only 70,000 but it tailgating and screaming students make up for it. “The Swarm” is also interesting to watch as the team goes hand in hand out on the field. The AC/DC is also a nice touch. Kinnick Stadium is great stadium to go to watch your first college football game.
