Top 10 Quarterbacks in College Football

  1. Trevone Boykin
TCU 6’2 205 lbs
Trevone Boykin is star and is the top heisman candidate. He is a great leader and an do it all. He threw for 3,901 yards with 33 td’s. He also ran for 707 yards and 8 td’s. Boykin can move on his feet well but there is room for improvement. He is surrounded by a great group of backs and receivers so there is no problem there. He is coming into a new season where he did great last year and now we can only imagine what he will do this year.
  1. Cody Kessler
USC 6’2 225 lbs
Cody Kessler is a natural quarterback. He is a great leader with poise and most importantly he can throw the ball. He had 3,826 yards and 39 td’s with only 5 int. He is smart and doesn’t turn the ball over which is big. He keeps his eyes downfield in the face of pressure but he does have mobility and can pick you up a couple yards when they play breaks down. Cody is just a smart quarterback who has the ability to make or break a game.
  1. Cardale Jones
Ohio State 6’5 250 lbs
We didn't get to see much of him but when we did he was great. He was a third string quarterback where if he went in the draft he probably would have been the third quarterback drafted. In the three games he played he threw for 742 yards and 5 td’s and against three of the top teams in the country. He also showed that he was a big tank running the football and very hard to bring down. There are still a lot of unanswered questions but you can tell with his ability that he he is a great quarterback.
  1. Deshaun Watson
Clemson 6’2 205 lbs
Is the hype getting out of control? We have only seen him start in 5 games. He gets hurt and is coming off an ACL surgery so there are some questions there as well. In the games we've seen him play he has been great. He has thrown for 1,466 yards and 14 td’s. If he stays healthy then he is a serious heisman candidate. He is only a sophomore so he still has time to grow and improve.
  1. Connor Cook
Michigan State 6’4 220 lbs
He has a great arm and at times looks like the best quarterback in the country. He throws hard and can get the ball into tight spaces, He is just inconsistent at times. He has only thrown 14 int’s in the past two seasons which is great. Michigan State has a great overall team this year so he should have no problem winning games.
  1. Dak Prescott
Mississippi State 6’2 230 lbs
Dak was a great asset to the team and evolved into a star. He had the team ranked number 1 for part of the season. Yes they fell off a little at the end but it was still a great season for them. He threw for 3,449 yards and 27 td’s. He also ran for another 986 yards and 14 td’s. The team did lose some key players so Dak will have to do some more but he can do it.
  1. Jared Goff
California 6’4 210 lbs
He is in an offense with a lot of power and scheme that lets him throw the football. He threw for 3,973 yards and 35 td’s. He is still a work in progress with some accuracy problems but those should all come around. He could also put some weight to his tall lanky 6’4 frame. He did  great job leading them even though their defense couldn't stop anyone last year. He has all the skills to be a great quarterback he just needs to work on them a little more.
  1. Christian Hackenberg
Penn State 6’4 234 lbs
He can make throws that will wow you. He will do things that will also make you shake your head. He has all the skills and abilities to be a great quarterback but sometimes he looks like he just gets lazy. He has sloppy footwork and can have problems with accuracy. Last year he had a group of unexperienced wide receivers as well and that didn't help him any. He threw for 12 td’s and 15 int’s last year and we know those aren't great numbers but he has the making to be a great quarterback.
  1. Joshua Dobbs
Tennessee 6’3 207 lbs
In the games that he played last year replacing an injured Justin Worley he looked like a potential star. He threw for 1,204 yards and 9 td’s while rushing for 469 yards and eight td’s in only six games. He looks like a great dual threat quarterback who can impact the game in a great way for Tennessee. He has a lot to learn and work on but he also has another season to do so.
  1. Vernon Adams
Oregon 6’0 190 lbs

Vernon Adams in your typical dual threat quarterback. He has a great arm and he can kill you with his feet. He has a lot to prove the moving from the FCS to the FBS but if anyone can do it, it's him. Last year he threw for 3,483 yards and 35 td’s. He also ran for 285 with 6 td’s. He has a big transition to make and he has a big spot to fill but we think Vernon Adams will have a great year.
